Habitat for Humanity donates first "green" home in Lexington

Today was a special dedication for a new all "green" environmentally-friendly home in Lexington.

Lexington Habitat for Humanity's first green home was built on Shawnee Avenue. A mother and six children will live in the home.

It was designed with health, safety, energy efficiency, and comfort in mind. The new homeowner, Dolores Amayo, says this "green" home will change her life.

The home was sponsored by Larry and Kitty Parker. Green sponsors included Henkel Denmark, Home Depot Foundation, Kentucky American Water and Talent Attach.
