FLEMING COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Authorities in Fleming County are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened early Thursday morning.
Around 2:00 a.m., Kentucky State Police and Fleming County Sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic call on KY 1013, near Hillsboro.
Police say when they arrived, 46-year-old Thomas McClanahan came out of the house and pointed a gun at the officers. As a result, a state trooper fired his weapon, killing the man.
The Fleming County Sheriff tells us McClanahan's wife and children were inside the home at the time of this incident.
Police are still on scene investigating.
