Flight diverted to Lexington due to passenger in cardiac arrest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Chicago had to make a stop in Lexington on Tuesday morning. Blue Grass Airport officials tell us the Spirit Airlines flight had to be diverted because of a passenger in cardiac arrest. The plane landed about 10:30 a.m. The passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment. Airport officials say the plane will take off again and resume its trip to Chicago.
