GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - An elected official in Garrard County is behind bars facing a drug charge.
Kentucky State Police arrested 73-year-old Ronald Lane Thursday morning on an indictment out of Jessamine County.
Lane is a Magistrate in Garrard County. He's being charged with trafficking a controlled substance.
KSP say his arrest comes after a lengthy investigation and involved prescription pills.
The Garrard County Judge-Executive tells WKYT he has no comment when asked about Lane's status as a Magistrate.
