Gas leak leads to evacuation of Lexington government center

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A gas leak forced an evacuation of the Lexington-Fayette County Government Center Wednesday afternoon.

Officials tell WKYT that someone reported smelling natural gas in the building at around 4:30 p.m. Everyone was able to get out of the building safely.

Lexington firefighters and Columbia Gas workers are still working to determine what caused the gas leak.
