NEW YORK (AP) - Relief from the heat is expected to arrive today in parts of the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

The largest heat wave of the summer has brought sizzling temperatures and little hope of relief without rain.

The National Weather Service says on Wednesday, most states in the U.S. had at least one region where the temperature hit 90 degrees. But New York City is bracing for another day today in the high 90s.
