BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A special group of Kentucky high school students banded together recently to change the life of a special young lady.
It was cheers and tears during the coronation at this year's Boyle County High School prom, when the student body voted, and crowned Macy Maynard, a student with Down Syndrome, as their queen.
Prom King Dakota Brock says Macy is a special girl; one who has made a lasting impression on all of her peers.
"I'm gonna miss her so much. I'm a senior. I cry just thinking about it," said Brock.
Macy will graduate from Boyle County this year, but plans to volunteer there next year.
