I-64 in Shelby Co. shut down for overturned semi

SHELBY CO, Ky. (WKYT) - An overturned tractor trailer halted traffic around 2:00 pm on Sunday on I-64 in Shelby County.

Police say John Gregory, of Winden, GA, dropped off the westbound shoulder of the roadway, causing his vehicle to overturn.

Plywood material fell out of the semi and scattered across I-64, on Sunday afternoon. A diesel tank also fell out of the semi and landed in a nearby creek.

No one was injured in the incident.

I-64 is expected to stay closed for at least six to eight hours for roadway cleanup.
