Kentuckians plan remembrance ceremonies for 9/11 anniversary

Kentuckians across the Commonwealth will be marking the 12th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks on Wednesday.

LEXINGTON (WKYT) Kentuckians across the Commonwealth will be marking the 12th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks on Wednesday.

Lexington police and fire departments will honor the victims of 9/11 this morning by placing a wreath at the Peace Officers Memorial on Main Street at 9:00AM.

A Remembrance Ceremony is planned outside of Keene Hall at 8:40 this morning, on the EKU campus in Richmond.

And later this morning, EKU will have and artifact from the World Trade Center on display.

Morehead State is asking students, faculty, and staff to place flags in the ground next to Bell Tower, to honor the men and women of the armed services.
