HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) - Nonprofit agencies across the state are participating in a 24-hour online fundraising drive called Kentucky Gives Day.
The event on Wednesday is similar to others across the nation that have been successful at raising funds through technology and social media.
The Kentucky Nonprofit Network will host the effort at www.kygives.org .
Kentucky Nonprofit Network Director Danielle Clore says donors can search for charities by location, name or category and have the option of giving to more than just one.
Nonprofits that raise the most money through the drive also win cash awards.
