Laurel County, Ky. (WKYT) - A Laurel County man is in jail accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend, her mother and attacking the family dog.
Police say instead of leaving after the assaults, 30-year-old Terry Mullis hid under the house on Robinson Creek Road where the violence happened.
Terry Mullis was arraigned on the charges Monday morning in district court. In court, he entered a not guilty plea.
The sheriff's office says the incident started Friday night. Mullis, who claims he lives at the home on Robinson Creek Road, says he got into an argument between with his girlfriend but he says she attacked him.
Police say he took out his anger on the girlfriend, her mother and even a dog, but Mullis claims none of that is true.
When sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene they say they found Mullis hiding under the house and that he struggled with them briefly.
Mullis says he shouldn't be charged with trespassing because that's his home.
Mullis was also charged with outstanding bench warrants for drug offenses and for a fleeing and evading police charge from Knox County.
