RACELAND, Ky. (AP) - State officials have cited an American Legion post in eastern Kentucky on gambling and alcohol charges.
The Independent (http://bit.ly/10miPLG) reports that the clubhouse in Raceland was cited on misdemeanor counts of selling alcohol in a dry territory and promoting gambling.
Post Commander Dennis Page declined to comment on the sale of alcohol, but said the club was in the process of getting a gaming license.
A court date on the charges has been set for May 29.
Page says the club will continue to host activities, including its Memorial Day Veterans Dinner this weekend.
