Lexington Habitat for Humanity is at it again!

Updated: Sat 8:15 PM, Sep 22, 2012

They've been working since 8:30 this morning and have already come really far with the project and it's only day two.

The Lexington Habitat for Humanity 2012 Women Build joined together in building a home for Irene Green and her 12-year-old son.

Today 32 women volunteered.

And even though most did not have any construction experience, these women were determined to build a new place that one family could call their home.

"Honestly, I feel like a kid in a candy store, I'm just so excited. I can't wait!" said Irene Green, the new homeowner.

The project started yesterday, and they will be building throughout the week on Ohio Street.

These women hope to have this particular home done by November 3.

More female volunteers are needed during the week, so if you would like to volunteer, contact Lexington Habitat for Humanity at (859) 252-2224.
