Lexington Police looking for woman suspected of car break-ins at parks

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police need your help finding a woman they say is stealing things from cars at parks.

Police say they've received multiple reports of thefts from cars at Masterson Station, Jacobson, and Coldstream parks.

Police released some surveillance pictures of the suspect taken from a bank. They say the woman has cashed multiple forged checks in Lexington and Louisville.

They've posted the pictures to the website idthisperson.com.

"The suspect basically entered vehicles to retreive the wallets from the victims," said Sgt. Eric Hobson with Lexington Police. "So far, we have at least $10,000 in forged checks negotiated here in Lexington and actually one check was attempted to be negotiated up in Louisville, however was denied."

If you have any information about the woman, you're asked to call Bluegrass Crimestoppers at 859-253-2020, your call can stay anonymous.
