Lexington Police working late afternoon shooting

Lexington, KY (WKYT) - Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that's sent a young man to the hospital. The victim was reportedly shot in the arm.

Police had an area of Georgetown Street, near Ash Street, blocked while they investigated. Police say the victim was shot at Roosevelt Blvd., but was found on Georgetown Street.

The shooting was originally called in as a drive-by, but police have not said if that is how the young man was shot.

Police tell WKYT the victim has non-life threatening injuries and was taken to UK Hospital. They won't say if anyone has been taken into custody for the shooting.
