Lexington police make arrest connected to 2013 murder case

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police have made a new arrest connected to a murder case from 2013.

Court documents show that 41-year-old Lazeric Givens is charged with Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence from a crime Lexington police say happened on May 25th, 2013.

That's the same day that police say Jered Taylor was beaten and bound with duct tape inside of a home on Carver Road, near Russell Cave Road.

Police say Taylor was shot multiple times as he tried to escape through a window.

Two arrests had already been made in the case. Darryl Stewart is charged with Murder and Latasha Parks is charged with Facilitation to Commit Murder.
