Lieutenant Governor Dan Mongiardo will take some time off from politics when his term ends in December.
Mongiardo ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate last year and did not seek re-election this year.
Mongiardo and his wife, Alison, have welcomed their second child a son named Canon Patrick Mongiardo.
In a news release, Dr. Mongiardo says he looks forward to playing “Mister Mom" for a while.
