Man arrrested after allegedly firing shot at off duty Madison County deputy

BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police in Richmond responded around 9pm Sunday night to Country Estates Road in Berea.

Police responded to a call that a neighbor had fired shots at an off duty Madison County Deputy. The man allegedly fired one shot at the off duty deputy, the deputy did not return fire.

Troopers responded to the scene and were able to talk to the guy and eventually get him to hand over his firearm.

Teddy Wagers was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
