Man hit by car along busy eastern Kentucky road

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is fighting for his life, after being hit by a car on a busy eastern Kentucky road.

It happened Thursday night along US 23 in Pike County, just outside Pikeville.

Police say the man was trying to cross the road, when a Mustang hit him.

We're told the man was airlifted to a hospital, in critical condition, and the driver of the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.

At last check, US 23 was still shut down in that area.
