Lexington, Ky. (WKYT) - Frightening moments on Wednesday morning for sixth grader after a man reportedly tried to lure her into his truck.
Lexington Police tell us the 12-year-old girl was standing on the corner of St. Margaret Drive and St. Mathilda Drive about 8:30 on Wednesday morning when a man she didn't know drove up in a truck.
Police say the man opened the door and told her to get in, saying he'd drive her to school.
When the girl refused, we're told the man cursed her out and left.
Police tell us the girl went back to her mom, who called police.
The truck the man was driving is described as a Ford F-150 with dark, tinted windows. It may have damage to the back.
Police say if caught, the driver could be charged with harrasment.
