A man is facing assault charges, accused of abusing an 11 week old baby.
Police were dispatched to Kentucky Children's Hospital because of suspicious head trauma to an 11 week old boy. After investigating, detectives at the hospital arrested the child's father, 24-year old Eric Arthur of Nicholasville.
According to the citation, Arthur caused serious physical injury to his son by picking him up while crying and shaking him.
Arthur is charged with first degree assault. He's being held in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
