HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police have reopened part of a Harrodsburg neighborhood after a standoff situation involving a man with a gun ended peacefully.
Police were called to the home on Virginia Avenue in the Alexander Heights area around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Virginia Avenue is was closed, but according to police is now back open.
Investigators tell us a woman called telling police her boyfriend was upstairs with a gun and she was afraid he might hurt himself.
A state police negotiator was called in to talk to the man.
He came out of the home around 4 p.m.
Police don't expect the man to be charged with a crime, they say he will undergo a mental evaluation.
