Mining accident leaves one dead in Leslie County

LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Crews are on the scene, after a deadly mining accident in the Rockhouse Community of Leslie County.

Dispatchers say the call came in around noon Saturday.

They say the man died during a surface mining accident at the TNT energy site in Rockhouse.

Mining officials declined to comment on the accident from the scene.

The Leslie County Coroner and first responders are still at the scene. They have not released the name of the victim.
