More snow in the forecast

Off and on snow flurries have been in the air for this first full day of Spring. Temperatures are running about 20 degrees below average! And with breezy northwesterly winds it feels much colder. Wind chills this afternoon are running in the teens. Expect the bursts of snow to continue through the evening with lows tonight dipping into the lower 20s. Skies will gradually clear early Friday with a cool and sunny start to the weekend. Highs will reach the lower 40s. We'll be in and out of the clouds Saturday with a slight chance of showers in southern KY. Elsewhere it will be a breezy and warmer day with highs topping the mid 50s.

This short stint of relatively quiet weather ends Sunday as another strong cold front rolls in. Rain and storms will be likely with a good chance of rain changing to snow late. Snow chances continue into the start of next with some accumulations possible. Looking further down the line it seems there's no warm up in sight, at least through the end of March.
