HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Officials with the National Weather Service say they believe a tornado is responsible for some of the damage from storms that swept across the state over the weekend.

A team from the National Weather Service have confirmed that an EF1 tornado touched down near the Breckinridge Community of Harrison County on Saturday night.

Some we talked to said the winds picked up farm equipment weighing more than 150 pounds, and carried it several thousand yards.

Several homes in the area were badly damaged from the storms but officials say no injuries have been reported.
