Flowers and trees are quickly budding due to the sudden surge of warm air recently. Highs today topped out near 80 with mostly sunny skies and gusty winds. We are mostly rain free across the region as the cold front as stayed well to the north of the commonwealth. Into the overnight hours expect breezy winds and lows around 63.
Temperatures continue to climb on Wednesday with near record highs expected. We could see some areas reaching the low to mid 80s. Winds will stay strong out of the south at times gusting over 30 mph. Only slight rain chances are expected.
We are getting ready for a very strong cold front to sweep through on Thursday. There will be the potential for severe weather with the main threat of damaging winds as the front passes. Much colder air will push in behind the front with quite a cool down for the weekend.
