LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Commonwealth Stadium is set to get a new look for 2015, with a price tag of $110-million and it will have a more modern look.

"It's going to be made of Kentucky limestone," described Tony Neely, Director of Football Media Relations.

While there's a lot of excitement about the new look, many fans will have a new seat to see it from.

"A lot of the seating will be changed," said Neely of the new design.

The renovations will offer more premium seating options than ever before, Neely said. Which means the seating chart will be wiped clean and season ticket holders can choose a new spot or find their old one again.

"So a lot of seats are having to be reworked, so when you do that we decided to go ahead and do a reseating process for the entire stadium," Neely stated.

Suites and select boxes are up for sale right now, but the season ticket holders will have to wait to choose their seats in the fall of 2014. UK said priority will be given based on K-Fund donations and how long they have had their season tickets. Fans will still be able to choose their seats even if they don't wish to be a part of the K-Fund donations. Instead, they'll have to pay face value for the available seats.

"We want this to be an improved experience for all of our fans, regardless of whether they're sitting in a new location in 2015, or if it's in the same general area," Neely answered.

The new plan will remove six thousand seats, and while you don't often hear of a stadium renovation taking away seats UK said it will offer a better experience for fans.

"We'll be going from 67,000 to 61,000," started Neely, "We think they'll have a better experience at the game."

But a better experience will only be worth it in the stadium, if there are more "Ws" on the field.

"We're hoping to continue to build the program. There will be more wins to cheer on the field, as well."

So on, on U of K. and look out for the changes ahead.
