Nicholasville Police make arrest in deadly hit and run

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have made an arrest in a deadly hit and run crash.

Curtis Pack, of Nicholasville, is charged with leaving the scene of a wreck and tampering with physical evidence for the crash Wednesday night in Nicholasville.

Linda Wilhoite, 50, was hit and killed while walking on Edgewood Drive at Southview Drive. She'd been walking home from the library and grocery store when she was hit.

Nicholasville Police say the accident reconstruction team was canvassing the area Friday morning when they noticed a vehicle that matched the description of one at the scene on Wednesday. We're told the vehicle had minor front end damage. After comparing the damage to evidence from the scene, they interviewed Pack and arrested him.

He is now in the Jessamine County jail.

"I never thought I'd see the day this guy would be caught. I thought this would go on forever. I didn't think I had any relief. I didn't think that I could go on the rest of my life. But now since guy's got caught I can start looking forward and not look back," said Wilhoite's daughter Katie, "I do forgive this guy, but justice has got to be brought in. I can not let this guy get away with what he did to my mother."

Wilhoite's family is still trying to pay for her funeral. You can donate to the Linda Wilhoite Memorial Fund at any PNC Bank.
