Nicholasville police investigate a possible Meth lab fire

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have opened an investigation into a possible Meth lab fire in Nicholasville.

Around 5:30pm on Thursday the Nicholasville Fire Department responded to a fire on Mill Street in Nicholasville. After putting out the fire, crews discovered equipment and ingredients for making Meth.

Police were then called to the scene, and now they have opened an investigation.

It is not yet known whether Meth was being made at the time of the fire, or whether it was the cause of the fire.

Only one person, a male, was home at the time of the fire. He was decontaminated and taken to a local hospital to be examined.

Police and fire officials tell us they were called to this same scene about a year ago, for a similar incident.
