LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police are investigating, after a stabbing left a man injured downtown.
It happened just before 8:30 Monday night in front of Circuit Court.
Police say two men got into a fight, and one stabbed the other in the torso. However, police say it didn't take them long to arrest the suspect.
"Through witness statements and the help of other persons present in the downtown area, we were able to locate a male subject and take him into custody," said Lt. Sam Murdoch, with the Lexington Police Department.
Police arrested the suspect at the Transit Center on Vine Street. They say the victim has non-life threatening injuries. Police say the suspect was also taken to the hospital for treatment of a pre-existing condition. Police say they aren't sure what caused the argument.
