Orange Leaf to use Kentucky milk

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Customers of a chain of frozen yogurt stores across the Bluegrass will be receiving a taste of Kentucky.

Tuesday, UK basketball coach John Calipari and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer announced that 11 Orange Leaf stores in Kentucky will use Udderly Kentucky milk in all frozen yogurt products.

The milk is produced by more than one hundred Kentucky dairy farms and processed in Somerset.

"I've been on a farm. I didn't grow up on a farm, but I grew up in that kind of area. So what you're doing, and us being involved, you guys came up with the idea, let's just be about Kentucky. I said what a great idea, let's just be about Kentucky," said Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari.

Coach Cal is an investor in some of Kentucky's Orange Leaf stores.

The Udderly Kentucky brand of milk was unveiled over the summer.
