COVINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Plans for a new I-75 bridge between Covington and Cincinnati could be hitting a roadblock.
The plans call for tolls to be used to help pay for a new Brent Spence Bridge over the Ohio River.
However, that's not going over well in northern Kentucky.
Most lawmakers from that area oppose tolls, and some cities have passed non-binding resolutions against them.
A new bridge is expected to cost $2.5 billion.
Some lawmakers say they want to take a wait-and-see approach to see if more federal money can be found to help pay for the project.
