Police: Drunk driver causes three crashes in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A driver faces charges after police say he caused at least three crashes. It started around 11 Tuesday night. Two cars collided at Georgetown Road and Mercer Road. One driver took off from the scene.

A short time later, the car struck a second vehicle at Georgetown Street and Price Road. The driver again tried to leave, but ended up hitting a utility pole.

Lexington Police arrested Victor Hernandez Coronado. He is charged with DUI, no insurance and no operators license.

A passenger in Coronado's car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police say Kentucky Utilities will come out to fix the pole on Wednesday morning.
