Police: Man attacks woman over alleged lip bite

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say a man left a woman with serious injuries after an attack.

Jesse English III is charged with assault.

Police were called to a Citgo on Augusta Drive in reference to a woman with serious injuries. When officers arrived, they found the woman with numerous injuries to her face. The woman told police that she was assaulted by a man named Jesse.

A witness followed the man who left the victim at the store to a home on August Drive. Officers found English inside and arrested him on unrelated charges.

The victim told police that she was drinking with English and another person at that home. She says that she blacked out and woke up injured.

English told police that he pushed the victim to get her off of him after she bit his lip.

The victim had facial and spinal fractures. She was admitted to UK Hospital. Police say she received numerous stitches for her injuries.
