Police arrest suspect after shots fired at Waffle House

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is in jail after police say he fired a weapon during a disorder outside of a Lexington Waffle House.

Police say around 3am Saturday morning, an off-duty officer saw a fight break out in the parking lot of the Waffle House at Georgetown Road and New Circle. Police say the officer then heard gunshots and called for back-up.

When the officer got to the scene, she saw Daniel Glasscock, 25, throw down a gun and run away.

Police then set up perimeter and caught Glasscock as he tried to run past them and jump into a waiting vehicle. Police say he was carrying cocaine.

Glasscock is charged with Wanton Endangerment, Possession of a Handgun by a Felon, Tampering with Evidence and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.
