ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police have arrested a convicted felon after an investigation led them to find an indoor grow operation and much more at his home on Sprout Springs Road in Stanton.

54-year-old Charles Warner was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, prescription medication not in proper container, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Kentucky State Police are crediting a tipster for the bust. "If it were not for the tip, we might not have known about Warner's activities," explains Sergeant Dustin Hon, with the Kentucky State Police. "We always encourage the public to call in with tips and information. We take all of them very seriously."

Police found 44 plants, pills and guns while searching Warner’s home.

Warner’s father lived in the home as well, but was not charged.

He is currently being lodged in the Estill County Jail.

Kentucky State Police are continuing the investigation.
