Police looking for man accused of inappropriately touching shoppers

SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) - Police in Somerset are trying to track down a shopper with the wrong intentions. They've released surveillance video to us of a man inappropriately touching women inside the T.J. Maxx. They now need help identifying him.

Police say he tried to act like it was an accident, but they believe the man on the surveillance video meant to inappropriately touch the women he passed.

"The fact that he's engaged in conduct like this raises a lot of suspicion," explains Somerset Police Lt. Shannon Smith.

The video Lt. Smith released is from the T.J. Maxx in Somerset, shot late last week. Police do believe he's gone to other stores in town and done the same.

"We've already distributed the video and still images out to local law enforcement and did not have any success in getting any recognition of that individual at that point so we're trying to rely on the public's help now," says Lt. Smith, "this has happened a couple of different times and we're looking into both him and the vehicle description that we were given."

Police believe he's a tall, stocky man in his mid-30's or early 40's with very short hair, possibly balding, with tattoos on his arms. He is seen in surveillance video driving a black or dark colored GMC or Chevrolet pick up truck with a yellow ladder in the back.

Police ask that you call 606.676.TIPS with any information.
