Police searching for Lexington robbery suspects who posed as officers

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for two men they say posed as police officers, then robbed a man at a north Lexington home.

It happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday night at the Imperial Mobile Home Park on West Loudon Avenue.

Lexington Police say two men, dressed in suits, showed up at a home, flashed badges and guns, and said they were there to arrest a man inside.

Once they brought the man outside, police say the robbers searched him, took some money, then ran off, saying they would be back shortly.

But, then men didn't return, and the victim called police. Police say one of the men had blonde hair, and the other one had brown hair.

Police say if you ever have any question about someone being an officer, they say to call 911.
