The search is on for three people wanted in a violent home invasion.
Frankfort police say three white males knocked on the door of a home on Parkside drive and then pistol whipped the man inside when he answered. At one point the gun went off.

"They came in according to the victim and kept hitting and kicking him," said Major Fred Deaton with Frankfort Police.

Deaton says the man with the gun then turned the gun on the victim's girlfriend, demanding money.

"She gave them everything she had then they left in a dark colored possibly Toyota Camry," Deaton said.

The victim did not call police. Investigators were called to Frankfort Regional Medical Center for a reported assault victim.

"That's where he told us what happened," said Deaton.

The victim was treated for his injuries and released.

Police are asking anyone with information about the attack to call them.
