PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police are investigating Twitter claims that the wife of Cincinnati Reds pitcher Mat Latos was attacked and had her hair pulled by a fan during the Reds' National League Wild Card loss to the Pirates.

Dallas Latos tweeted "Got punched in the head at least three times by a pirates fan so this has been cool" and later claimed her hair was also pulled, tweeting "I'm 'fine' but my head hurts. Never swung back bc I was trying to protect myself."

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard confirms police are investigating, but so far says nobody's been charged in the incident. Police plan a news conference for later Wednesday.

The Pirates have not commented on Latos' claims, including that PNC Park security didn't properly intervene during Tuesday night's incident.
