School bus monitor attacked by student in Lexington

A bus monitor is recovering after police say a student attacked her outside a Lexington Middle School.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A bus monitor is recovering after police say a student attacked her outside a Lexington Middle School.

Police say it happened not far from Tates Creek Middle School at dismissal time on Thursday.

Officials say a school bus monitor was attacked by a high school student.

The school bus monitor was transported by ambulance to St. Joe East where officials say she was treated for minor injuries.

School security has started an investigation into the incident and Assault charges have been filed against the juvenile. The school has also taken disciplinary action against the student.
