Several students injured in Knott County bus crash

KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Knott County Superintendent Kim King says several students were injured after a Knott County School Bus crashed Tuesday morning.

King says at least four students were injured, two were transported to the hospital and two were taken by their parents. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.

Dispatchers say it happened around 7:30am on Route 7 in the Beaver Creek area.

A witness says a pickup crossed the lane, causing the bus to swerve out of the way, striking the bus.

Knott County School Transportation Director Brent Hoover says that seven students were injured. One of those has already been released from the hospital.
