Shot fired during violent home invasion

Police in Frankfort are still looking for three suspects behind a violent home invasion.

Just after 1:30 Monday morning, police say three men forced their way inside a trailer off Park Side Drive and immediately began beating the man. During that assault investigators say one of the suspects hit the victim over the head with a gun, which then discharged. Police say that suspect, then turned the gun on the victim's girlfriend and threatened to shoot her if she didn't "hand over the money." The men got the money and left in a dark colored Toyota Camry.

"We view that these individuals are very dangerous and a threat to public safety, so we try to apprehend them as soon as we possibly can," said Maj. Fred Deaton with Frankfort Police.
