The difference a few miles make! In parts of southeastern KY heavy snow fell Thursday but just to the north there was no snow at all. Parts of Letcher, Harlan, Pike, and Bell counties measured up to 5" of a heavy, wet snow. Snow quickly came to an end Thursday evening and skies will gradually clear overnight with a low of 19. Friday into Saturday will be dry with partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower to mid 40s. Winds will also increase this weekend ahead of a strong front.

The front will pass early Sunday with temperatures dropping into the upper teens. Light snow will be possible as the front moves through and we could see several rounds through Wednesday. Arctic air is in the forecast for the start of the week with a slow warm up through the week.
