It happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

The coroner tells us a 29-year-old Somerset man was hit and killed by the train just south of Trinity Springs Park in Somerset, near the West Columbia Street crossing, on a Norfolk Southern railway.

The man has been identified, however, we're told family has not been notified, so his name is not being released.
