FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Supporters of two bills that would prevent discrimination based on sexual orientation statewide rallied in Frankfort.
Six Kentucky cities, including Lexington, already have fairness ordinances on the books.
Senate Bill 140 and House Bill 171 would take that across the state.
"I don't feel that people in other counties in Kentucky should have to lose their job because of what they are," Jerome Hickman Jr. told WKYT at the rally.
The House Judiciary Chairman will decide if the fairness measure receives a hearing.
