LYNCH, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say three people have died in two separate blazes in eastern Kentucky.

Police said in a statement that two people were found dead Friday evening at a residential blaze in Perry County. Police say firefighters found the body of a man outside the burning residence when they arrived and later found the body of a female inside the structure.

Police said both bodies have been sent to the state medical examiner's office for autopsies to determine cause of death and positive identification.

A separate blaze in Harlan County on Friday killed 81-year-old Marjorie Boggs and injured her son, 63-year-old Robert Boggs. Police say Robert Boggs was treated at a hospital and released.

Police say they are investigating the causes of both fires.
