Three men killed in Sunday night shooting in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville police were looking for evidence and answers in the shooting deaths of three men found outside of an apartment complex on the south end of the city.

The three men were found just before 3 p.m. Sunday - two inside a Ford Explorer with the window shattered and a third on the ground just outside the vehicle. The incident is Louisville's deadliest shooting of the year.

Police did not identify the victims Sunday, but homicide detectives were canvassing the area in hopes of determining a motive and whether the men shot each other or were killed by other assailants.

Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley told The Courier-Journal detectives were unsure what led up to the shootings.

Authorities said none of the men lived at the apartment complex.
