LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Some people are already lined up for deals, but if you're still strategizing for Black Friday, we have some shopping tips for you!
The Fru-Gal, Debbie Morris of Lexington, says waiting in line isn't essential to catch the good deals.
Moore says it all starts with simply knowing what's out there and what to expect.
"It's a matter of just doing research. They're not going to make it easy for you unfortunately," said Moore.
Being organized is what Morris says is the number one Black Friday tip.
"I definitely think you need to make a list. I tell people even if you don't have a list of what you're going to buy, have a list of whom you are going to buy for," said Morris.
Also, Morris says not going alone can save you time and money.
"I tell people to bring a friend because a friend will tell you that you don't need that and that's not what we are here for. Or a friend will go this way, and you go that way. Grab what you need and get in line!" said Morris.
Doing your research ahead of time is what Morris says she encourages the most, so maybe then you can avoid going to so many stores or waiting in those long lines.
"If they are going to match some of the prices, and you can go to one store and get all of your deals, that would be a great thing," said Morris.
Along with these tips, Morris says you should go into stores with your budget written down.
And after shopping, save your receipts in case you change your mind about those sales you just couldn't resist on Black Friday.
Even though people are already lined up at places like Best Buy in Lexington, most sales do not start until Thanksgiving night.
