Tree falls on car in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Wednesday's wintry weather caused a close call at a home near downtown Lexington.

A 60 foot tall tree slammed on top of a car on Harry Street Wednesday morning, barely missing a home.

The tree slammed into a car. The owner says he had just gone inside a few minutes before it fell.

Streets and road crews had to trim the tree back to allow traffic to pass.

It's believed the heavy snow, combined with high winds and saturated ground caused the tree to come down.
